Beauty: Best High End Beauty Buys (Under £50)

Sunday, October 23, 2016

It’s okay every once in a while to make that beauty splurge, especially when it’s a product you’ll use every day or a product that will really change your skin. When it comes to spending a few more pennies on beauty products I think the main things you can invest in are foundation, concealer, skincare and eye shadow and so in the post you’ll find out my favourite products and hopefully some products you’ll love just as much as I do.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair - £52
I was reading Salli Hughes’ new beauty book and this product is listed as an iconic beauty product and there’s SO many reasons why you need this serum in your life. I use this probably about 3 times a week after moisturising to give my skin a boost and to hydrate it. After using this the day after I wake up with extremely soft, hydrated and glowing skin, which gives me a real confidence boost.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream - £40
Alongside advanced night repair, this cream is literally the DREAM. If you want good skin, you need to invest in good products and this is a product well worth investing in. This serum helps to get rid of fine lines, dark circles, puffiness, dryness and uneven texture and what’s great about this serum is a little goes a long way. I’ve spent so long looking for a good eye cream and since having this I don’t think I’ll ever use anything else.
Nars Creamy Radiance Concealer in Macadamia - £22.50
I never really understood the point in investing in concealer as my Holy Grail concealer was the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and it cost me under £5. Despite absolutely loving the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer, I was desperate to try out this. I love how this concealer is high coverage and covers spots, blemishes and uneven skin so well.
 BareMinerals Bareskin Concealer - £22*
Another concealer worth trying is this beauty from Bare Minerals. I love using this to brighten under my eyes (especially when I’ve been so tired!) and it really helps cover dark circles. I like using this with a small concealer brush too to define my eyebrows and it works really well.

BareMinerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation - £27
I absolutely LOVE Estee Lauder Double wear and that will forever be one of my favourite foundations. I love wearing it and how it lasts all day on my skin. However, on days when I don’t want to wear as much make-up Double wear is too heavy for my skin so I have been looking for an alternative and I think I’ve found it. I have seen so many reviews about this online and I haven’t been disappointed. If you want a light coverage and want foundation, which doesn’t feel like you have anything one, this is the dream! Make sure you shake this foundation for using and put it on the back of your hand first as it’s quite a thin consistency.
Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - £38.50

This is a recent beauty rediscovery of mine and I absolutely love this palette at the moment. Urban Decay make the best eye shadow palettes and this one is currently on my wish list. I love the variety of colours in this palette and high pigmented they are and easy to blend. If you want to purchase a high-end palette I’d highly recommend any of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourite high-end beauty buys?

I agree with spending your money on your base, and skincare such as serums - it makes a massive difference in your makeup application!
