Beauty: The Ultimate Beauty Brand Now at Look Fantastic

Tuesday, June 06, 2017

I’ve never really hyperventilated over receiving post before until now, obviously. I came home after a long day to this amazing surprise parcel from Look Fantastic to celebrate MAC now being available online (best news ever) and I’ve finally been able to try out some of the MAC cult classics, which I haven’t tried.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or that you’re not a proper beauty addict like most people reading this post, you’ll have noticed that the biggest make up brand, MAC has launched on Look Fantastic. MAC is going to stock over 2,500 products over 37 categories (brushes, lipsticks, eye shadows) you name it! As well as the popular prep and prime range. I felt so lucky to have received this amazing parcel, which included 7 best sellers from the brand.

Out of the box of treats from Look Fantastic, I’ll start with the two lipsticks I already own which are the lipsticks in Ruby Woo and Velvet Teddy. Ruby Woo, was one of the first red lipsticks I’ve ever tried and I still love it now. I’m more of a nude lipstick girl myself, however when I’m going out and I want to make it look like I have really made an effort, I reach for Ruby Woo.

MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick and MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick - £16.50 each*

Ruby Woo is a stunning matte shade, which really lasts on your lips all day. What I would say though is to apply Ruby Woo with a red lip liner underneath. If you’re someone who is just starting out with make up I would highly recommend these shades for someone starting out with makeup as they’re stunning shades and perfect for casual and more dressing up evening looks.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Global Glow - £24.50*

Is there anything better than a new highlighter? I think not. I have tried what feels like every highlighter ever but a MAC highlighter and so I was so excited to see this in the surprise parcel. I’ve used this a few times now, including going out for my boyfriends birthday which I did a bold makeup look for and this gave me the perfect amount of shimmer to my cheekbones. This is a great shade for pretty much any skin tone and what’s great about this is you can use it on your body to get the all over glow.

One thing I’ve really been into at the moment is using my Nars Copacabana highlighter with my foundation to achieve a more glowy and radiant look as we are now into the summer months. I’ve heard so much about MAC strobe cream and it’s definitely the beauty product I’ve missed out on buying. This cream helps to brighten and improve your skin tone and provides long-term moisturisation. You can also use this on your décolletage for a glowy look. I love using the strobe cream as it definitely makes my skin look more healthy and radiant so depending on how much time I have to get ready in the morning or evening, I alternate between the two.

I feel like I’m the only beauty blogger in the world who’s never tried a MAC eye shadow but I am so glad that the day has finally come when I have. This palette is a gorgeous selection of dusky nudes, deep pink shades and sparkling bronzes. After swatching a few of these shades, they are super pigmented and easy to blend. I think this is the sort of palette you’d use for both morning and night time looks and it’s great for travelling to as it’s such a compact palette.

MAC Prep + Prime Fix + Spray - £18*

If you were to buy one thing from this post, I would 100% pick this prep + prime spray. This is a refreshing facial mist, which can be used to prime before applying makeup and also set your makeup after. It’s suitable for all skin types and as soon as I’ve spritzed this a couple of times my skin feels refreshed and looking more radiant.

MAC In Extreme Dimension Lash Mascara in Black Extreme - £19.50*

I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a pretty packaged mascara. If you’re missing volume from your life you will love this mascara. The brush on this wand is really impressive and it lifts, lengthens and curls your lashes all in one go. This is one of the best mascaras I’ve tried in a long time and I am sure this will be a favourite for some time to come.

Great products you have there! MAC coming to Lookfantastic was really an awesome thing. I only have one place that I can buy MAC, which is Selfridges online (I'm Portuguese) and I pay 18€ of shipping, it's pretty expensive, and now that MAC is on Lookfantastic I can order their items with free shipping!!

MAC face and body foundation is the best undetectable base ever! Brush 187 is fab for doing glow finish or sheer out base that are a tad too thick.
