Beauty: Urban Decay Ultimate Naked Basics Palette Review

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

As long as Urban Decay keep continuing to produce eye shadow palettes, I’ll be making sure I add them to my make-up collection. Everything that Urban Decay produce I absolutely love and their eye shadow palettes are some of the only palettes I use or reach for on a daily basis.

I feel a bit late on the bandwagon with this eye shadow palette but I am so glad I have this in my collection now! At the moment I really love matte eye shadows and so this palette is perfect. First of all how beautiful is the packaging? It’s so aesthetically pleasing and the rose gold packaging is just spot on as it’ll be a must-have for any make-up lover.

The colour range in this palette is stunning and it’s a great mix of cool and warm tones. I think this palette is great for creating daytime but also evening looks. The mirror in this palette is huge and so it’s perfect for travelling and doing your make-up on the go. The brush in this palette is also really good which makes this palette your perfect travelling companion. It’s double ended too which leaves one side for blending and the other side for precision.

I’m so impressed with the pigmentation of this palette and part of me actually prefers this to the typical Naked palettes (even though I absolutely love them!)

There’s always a couple of colour shades in a palette which you don’t end up using but I have already experimented with a couple of looks and actually used all these colours!

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette - £38.50 (currently £34.65 here)
As you can see from the swatches on my hand, the colours in this palette are really pigmented and the colour pay off is great too. My favourite shades in this palette are Faith, Lockout and Extra Bitter. I love using the shade Commando as a base shade, Instinct in the crease and to add a bit of depth either Faith or Lockout.

Overall, I really rate this palette and think it’s well worth picking up if you’re an Urban Decay fan. I think the colours are stunning and it’s the sort of palette you can easily use all year round and the mirror in the palette is huge which is perfect for when you’re on the go too.

What do you think of the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics? Have you tried this palette? Is it on your wish list?

I don't normally love Urban Decay shadows but I really like this palette. My favourite shades are the same as yours :) xx
