Bag - Marc B via Topshop (old but similar bags available)
As you may have guessed from the title of this blog post and where the clothing I’m wearing is from, from the links above this post features a lot of Topshop. Having graduated in July my daily wardrobe is transitioning to be a lot smarter, sophisticated and I wear a lot of pieces I can wear to work or adapt to make a more casual look. While I was studying it was difficult to stay stylish on a budget, especially when you’re living off your student loan! I found that it was much better to spend a little bit more money on pieces which you would wear all season (or longer) and so it was about buying pieces you really loved which may cost a little bit more then that £10 Primark dress.

When Topshop got in touch and asked if I’d like to work with them I was over the moon. When I’m looking for classic staples for my wardrobe Topshop is the first place I look.

Firstly, I knew I needed a new coat. A coat which made me look stylish, but also smart at the same time and you can’t go wrong with a camel coloured coat. They never go out of style, they look good all year round and they suit everyone! I think this a key piece for any Autumn/Winter wardrobe and layered with a thick woolly scarf you’re ready to battle whatever British weather has to throw at you.

For my top, I went for this ruffle long sleeved top which is very on trend right now as it’s covered in ruffles! This is probably the softest item of clothing I’ve ever worn and my mum even commented saying it made me look slimmer so that’s a winner all round right? It feels so soft and the fact it’s perfect for everyday wear and on trend makes it even better. It comes in so many different colour (check the top out here) and I may have picked it up in this colour too.

For days at university you could wear this like I have with Jamie ripped jeans, with a leather skirt for a night out or if you’re feeling daring a pair of printed trousers (like these) and loafers for a trendy look.

Lastly, I went for a pair of leopard print boots. Leopard print is a huge trend this season and I am sure it will be a trend for many seasons to come. When has leopard print ever not looked good?! I absolutely adore these boots and this is the perfect staple item for Autumn/Winter as these boots can make any outfit look interesting and they don’t break the bank as they come in at under £50!

I like to think that my style is quite classic and when I’m looking for good quality staple pieces to last me all season (or year) Topshop is the first place I look.
My top tips for staying stylish on a budget are to invest in things such as boots, a jumper or a coat (things you wear everyday) and to switch and change other items make sure you have ALL OF THE ACCESSORIES so that means scarves, necklaces and everything in-between to jazz up your outfits.

What do you think of this outfit? What trends are you loving right now?
