Beauty: 5 Things You Need To Buy When You're Next in Boots

Tuesday, September 27, 2016

Sometimes, when you’re having a bad day (or sometimes bad week) what can cheer you up is treating yourself to a few new make-up products and my first point of call for all things make-up is Boots. So the next time you’re having a bad day, bad week or just fancy a little splurge and treating yourself, here are 5 things you need to pick up when you’re next in Boots.

Barry M Deep Glow Dark Bronzer - £5.69

I think I got this as a free (GWP) when I purchased some Barry M nail polishes about 6 months ago and I haven’t looked back. When I need to add some colour to my face this is the first product I reach for. I love using this to create a light coverage but also for a higher coverage for an evening out. You also get so much for your money too and after using this pretty much everyday for about 6 months I still haven’t hit pan.

 L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper - £5.99

As much as I love Benefit brow products, on an everyday basis they are just a little too expensive for me, but for a woman with dark hair eyebrows are pretty important in my everyday make-up routine. I’ve been looking for the perfect brow product on the high street for a long time now and just when I was about to go back to the Benefit products, I discovered this. I absolutely love this brow product and it’s perfect for when you’re on the go or when you don’t have a long time to do your make-up.

NYX Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette - £15

If you’re a fan of highlighter, this NYX product will be an absolute dream for you. I love using theBalm Mary Lou Manizer, but I was eager to try something new. For £15 you get 7 highlighting products (which is a total bargain!) and the bottom three shades in the palette work like an absolute dream as highlighters and leave my face looking super glowy.

Seventeen Long Lash Mascara - £4.99

This is one of my favourite products I’ve ever tried from Seventeen and I love using this to create length to my lashes. I think this mascara is super budget friendly too. I think for a night out I love layering this mascara and after using eyelash curlers first, I love the effect this mascara gives. If you’re a girl looking for a new mascara to try, 100% pick this up when you’re next in Boots. If you’re looking for other Seventeen products to try, then make sure you read this blog post.
L'Oreal True Match Highlighter in Golden Glow - £6.99

This highlighter is the absolute dream if you want a subtle glow. I like to use this highlighter on the top of my cheekbones after applying foundation. This highlighter also works well if you want to mix it in with your foundation before applying to achieve a subtle glow (or just to look more awake). This product reminds me a lot of the NYX liquid illuminator but it’s just a little bit more purse friendly which is an added bonus!
What do you think of these products? Have you tried any of these products out? Have you got any make-up recommendations for me to try?

I use the bronzer everyday myself too so I can completely understand where you are coming from. It is such an affordable bronzer and is obviously cruelty free too :) xx

I feel like I have the worlds worst eyelashes, I curl them with curlers and they still don't look 'good'. But, I've thought of using the Seventeen product so I shall give it a go, thank you for the recommendation!
