Beauty: The Glowy Skin Edit ft Caudalie, TheBalm and Nip & Fab

Sunday, June 26, 2016

The big beauty trend right now is dewy/glowy skin for that perfect natural summer glow. I really like this trend and wearing minimal make-up is ideal for the summer months. I’ve been testing out a few products these past few months and they have all helped improve my skin and make it appear like it has a glow to it. This post covers everything from moisturiser to serums to highlighters and I hope you find a product you like (or want to try out!)

This cream has completely changed my skin (yes really it has!) and I couldn’t imagine my life without this cream in my daily routine. I’ve spent so much money in the past using my trusty drugstore primers but they have never really worked for me. About 3/4 months ago I began using this cream before applying my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and this duo is like a match made in heaven and leaves my skin feeling super hydrated and it has a glow.

Nip+Fab is a range I found first in TK Maxx believe it or not. I think I then saw that Kylie Jenner was an ambassador for the range so I knew it must be good. I’ve been a big fan of the dragons blood pads/glycolic fix pads for a long time but every since I’ve had this dragons blood fix hyaluronic shot in my life it has completely changed my skin. I mix one or two drops of this in with my Estee Lauder daywear cream and this creates the perfect base for before my foundation. My skin looks so glowy and I’ve had so many compliments on my skin after using this. It’s a little bit more expensive at just under £25 but it is 100% worth it. I’ll be repurchasing this once mine has run out!

This primer works like a total dream. When I’m not using the Estee Lauder day cream, I opt for using this primer. If you want your skin to have a bit more colour to it and appear more illuminated this primer is your new best friend.  If you want super glowy/illuminated skin I’d go for using the day cream then the Nip+Fab hyaluronicshot serum and then this primer on top.

Caudalie Moisturising Mask - Caudalie

Caudalie is one of my favourite brands and I’ve never tried a Caudalie product that I didn’t like. This facemask is by far one of my favourites and I love using this when my skin is feeling a little on the dull side and needs a bit of TLC. This mask works as a perfect base before using moisturiser/foundation.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer - Boots

If you were going to invest in a great concealer, which doesn’t get patchy and stays in place all day, I would pick up either the Estee Lauder Double Wear or the Urban Decay Naked Concealer. These are both great concealer and they are so good for illuminating under your eye area and hiding dark circles.

NYX create some absolutely amazing products and I am so happy this brand is becoming more and more accessible in the UK. I’ve had this illuminator a few weeks now and this is a must have if you’re going on holiday. I loved using this as a layer under my foundation and this also works really well as a cheek highlight.

Illamasqua Radiance Veil Primer - Look Fantastic

This is the first product I’ve tried from Illamasqua and I absolutely love it. Sometimes after using my Estee Lauder day cream I add in a layer of the radiance viel for an extra glow before my foundation. I’ve found that using this works best when I’m on a night out and  I want to look like I have super dewy/glowy skin.

I think one of the ultimate products you can pick up to ensure your skin looks dewy and healthy is the Mary Lou Manizer. This highlighter is absolutely beautiful and I wear this pretty much everyday (hence the hitting pan!)

This highlighter from Topshop is a subtler highlighter. As much as I love TheBalm Mary Lou, Its incredibly pigmented and sometimes it’s nicer to be a bit more toned down. I love using this with an NYX fan brush for a great summer glow.

Have you tried any of these products? How do you achieve glowy skin?

Looooove the look of the Topshop highlighter! I'm always a bit wary of highlighter as I don't want to look too shiny so the fact it is subtle really appeals. I am also a huge fan of Estee Lauder - my Mum swears by the DayWear and she has excellent skin so I trust it!
