My Top 5 Make-up Saviours - Rimmel, Soap & Glory, Real Techniques etc

Monday, March 03, 2014

I thought I'd start writing a few more make-up blog posts as I'm finding the world of make-up and beauty more and more interesting. Today I thought I'd show you all my top 5 make-up saviours. The items I carry in my make-up bag everyday and my holy grail make up items. They're all very in-expensive too.
Rimmel Stay Matte Primer - Feel Unique
Topshop Glow Highlighter in Polish - Topshop
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - Feel Unique
Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer - Boots
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush - Amazon
I've tried so many make-up primers but none of them have worked on me as well as the Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. It last so well and helps my make-up stay on my face all day. It's so cheap at only £5.99 and it's always a good idea to check online for discounts on sites like Feel Unique as you can save money on your purchase too. The latest code I found is MAR10 for 10% off all orders at the checkout!

A recent saviour of mine is the Topshop Glow Highlighter in Polish. This little pot and goodness will sort you out if you want to emphasise certain features. You can't really over-do it with this as the result is a natural glow to the skin. It works so well emphasising cheekbones, brow bone and cupid's bow. During the day if you feel your face is looking a little bit dull then this is perfect to blend in to your make-up on the go to brighten your look.

A firm favourite of pretty much every single beauty/fashion blogger & vlogger is the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.  I wouldn't go a day without it and I haven't done in a couple of years now. I tend to just use a dab of this on my cheekbones and t-zone to help my make-up stay in place all day.
I first purchased the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer a few months ago and I've not looked back since. It's perfect for concealing spots and especially under eye bags. I love how well this concealer stays on through-out the day. It comes with a setting powder and is the most expensive item in this post at a mere £10!
Another firm favourite in the blogosphere is the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. It retails for £9.99 and can easily be picked up in Boots on the 3 for 2 they have on at the moment. I purchased my first expert face brush in Boots but bought another off Amazon. Amazon regularly change the price of this brush and I think I got mine for about £6.50. It's currently on Amazon for £7.19 so if you want to save yourself a few pennies then head on over there!
I hope you all really liked this post. I thought I'd try something new. I've now told you my top 5 holy grail make up products I can't live without and would love to find out yours!
Which make-up products can't you leave the house without?

I'd love to try this Topshop highlighter, but it's always sold out when I go looking for it. I love the packaging!

The Rimmel Stay Matte powder has got to be the best at the moment, along with the Expert Face Brush.
