Beauty: Birchbox April Beauty Box Review ft Rifle Paper Co

Monday, April 11, 2016

This months Birchbox is definitely a treat. I don't want to throw the box away I want to keep it forever and just stare at it (cause it's so pretty). This months theme is very fitting as it's the start of spring and Birchbox have teamed up with US stationery brand Rifle Paper Co. As usual Birchbox just carries on impressing me each month! This month includes Benefit, Balance Me and Parlor.

I've been a Birchbox subscriber for about a year now and their boxes each month just get better and better. Being the beauty junkie that I am, I'm really surprised with Birchbox as I have never (or very very rarely) seen the same product by the same brand inside. I could be getting this wrong though because I do love a beauty box!

Kueshi Footcare Cream - £12

When don't your feet need a little bit of TLC? When I'm at university I walk everywhere and comfy shoes are a must for me, but sometimes even when wearing comfy shoes your feet will need some looking after. I've never heard of Kueshi before but I popped this cream on before I went to bed last night on my feet, put some socks on while I slept and this morning woke up with super soft feet.

For the past couple of years I've been a massive fan of Balance Me products. If there's one skincare product I haven't really invested in, it's an eye cream. I know your eyes are very important to look after but mine seem to be quite sensitive. This eye cream not only brightens and conceals those dark circles (for when 8 hours sleep aren't good enough) this eye cream also leaves your under eye area feeling hydrated and it helps battle those signs of ageing.

One thing I really love about Birchbox is the fact that it's allowed me to try out so many Benefit products over the year. I'm always a little reluctant to splash out on Benefit products and so this helps me try them at a fraction of the price. Benefit's best selling bronzer now comes in liquid form (yay!) I've tried this a couple of times and I use this once I've applied my foundation to give my skin a more sun-kissed glow.

I've tried this product before from another beauty box (I'm pretty sure it wasn't Birchbox) and I actually really liked it. I use this on the days when I have a shower and don't use a hair mask as I only use that about once a week. I love how soft and hydrated it leaves my hair.

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner in Black - RRP £11

I'm quite impressed with this addition to this months Birchbox as fashion designer Cynthia Rowley has turned her skills to make-up for this Birchbox-exclusive make-up line. This works really well as a liner but if you smudge it out (especially in the outer corners!)

What do you think of this months Birchbox? Have you tried any of these products before?

You can sign up to Birchbox for £10 plus £2.95 P&P here.
