My Favourite Makeup Products Right Now ft BareMinerals, Fenty Beauty & More!

Wednesday, October 03, 2018

If you follow me on Instagram, You’ll know that I love sharing (pretty much daily) the make-up I love. Sometimes I find Instagram a lot easier than writing a blog post, as it’s so instant, so if you want to keep more ‘up to date’ with my posts then Instagram is the place to be! But onto the beauty… one thing I have noticed is that the way I apply my makeup and the brands I use is changing, and so I thought I’d let you all know my ride or die favourites right now including Benefit, Fenty Beauty, BareMinerals and more!

Fenty Beauty Foundation in the shade (290) - £26 from Harvey Nichols
What can I say about this foundation? It works like an absolute dream. For matching my ‘actual’ skin tone this foundation does it. I’ve also received compliments from friends, family and even colleagues at work about how ‘nice’ my skin looks, and I’ve let them know it’s the foundation! What’s great about this foundation is that it comes in a massive 40 shades, so you’ll be bound to find one to match your skin tone. It looks matte, but not drying on the skin and you can easily layer the foundation for a ‘buildable’ but dewy look. What (isn’t) as good about this foundation is that it’s only available in the UK in Harvey Nichols, which makes this a bit of a difficult product to get hold of!
Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil in the shade 4 - £20.50 from Boots
Is it bad to say I’m on my second brow pencil of these now?! I absolutely adore this eyebrow pencil but one thing I just can’t get on board with is the price… £20.50 for a BROW PENCIL? I think at the most, this product should be maximum £15. Despite the price, I have to say this is one of my favourite brow products I’ve ever used as it’s great for refilling ‘sparse’ areas in your eyebrows.

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Eyeshadow Palette in 'Golden Tempress' - £29 from Bare Minerals

When Bare Minerals have done eyeshadow palettes in the past, I have never really been overly keen on them, purely for the fact that some of the shadows can come across ‘chalky’. However, swatching this palette in my local Boots I was SO impressed. The quality is absolutely outstanding and as you can see, I picked up the brown/golden one cause who doesn’t love a brown/gold/bronze shade for an eye look?!

I’ve been a fan of Charlotte Tilbury ‘Pillow Talk’ for what feels like the longest time. So as you can probably tell, it took me a while to branch out to another Charlotte Tilbury shade, until I found this lip liner, which is the most gorgeous nude shade. I absolutely love this, I’ve had to sharpen this quite a few times now as it seems to go with all the nude lipsticks I own!
YSL 'The Curler' Mascara - £26 from Boots

Who loves collecting Boots points?! Me! I was very thankful for collecting enough Boots points to purchase this mascara, as it’s incredible. Firstly, this mascaras packaging is so luxurious and who doesn’t love a bit of pink? This mascara is probably my second favourite after the ITCosmetics Superhero Mascara and that is a bold claim! It curls, lengthens and makes your lashes look super defined and not clumpy, if you want to switch up your mascara then I’d add this to your make-up bag!

Nars Highlighter in 'Fort De France' - £26 from ASOS
Is there such thing as finding your perfect highlighter? I think so. I absolutely love this shade and for my skin tone, I think it’s the perfect champagne gold. I love how you can really layer this highlighter too depending on how glowy you want your skin to look. But if you see a photo of me online, you can guarantee, I will be wearing this highlighter.

Tweezerman Rose Gold Lash Curler - £17 from Boots

Who knew that eyelash curlers could make the world of difference? Not me! First of all it’s rose gold but it just holds a curl perfectly. I have been so impressed with my lashes since using these curlers but a few people have asked me whether I have false lashes/eyelash extensions so this means they must be working right?

Peachy Keen blush by Bare Minerals is a blush I have loved for what feels like FOREVER. It’s such a gorgeous shade of peach and looks amazing on tan/olive skin tones. I have had a lot of compliments when I’ve been wearing this blusher as well! I love the colour pay off of this blusher as no matter how much I apply it always looks natural and not intense.

Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Unveil - £19 from Harvey Nichols
If you’ve followed me on Instagram/Twitter lately you’ll know how much I love Fenty Beauty products. I have never tried a foundation that suits my skin so well and so I knew I had to try another product I have seen raved about everywhere, her stunna lip paints. I picked up the shade ‘Unveil’ and let me tell you this is UNREAL. It might look ‘really dark’ when you first view it online but I can tell you it dries to a gorgeous chocolate brown shade and it looks amazing on my skin tone. So if you have olive toned skin (or darker) I’m pretty sure you’ll love this.
Have you tried any of these products? What make-up are you loving right now?
