Beauty: June Beauty Favourites ft Urban Decay Naked Heat, Revlon, MAC and Kiehls

Sunday, July 16, 2017

Can you believe it’s July? I literally just don’t know where this year is going! But I am VERY happy that it’s now officially summer (though in the UK it doesn’t feel like it!). When it comes to summertime I seem to become more and more obsessed with beauty products.  I love trying to create the perfect ‘summer glow’ and wearing more orange/red eye shadows and layering on highlighter.

I absolutely adore Kiehls skincare. I think their products are so underrated in the beauty blogging world. Every product I’ve tried from Kiehls I have loved and the midnight recovery concentrate is no exception. I’ve been using this everyday for nearly a month now and what I like about this oil is that a little goes a long way, as you only need about 2 drops to cover your whole face. I use this oil after cleansing before I go to bed and I wake up with super smooth skin.
Ever since I’ve had this palette in my life, I’ve used it everyday. I feel like this palette will be a favourite of mine for a very long time. On a daily basis, I tend to reach for orange/nude and red shades and this palette has everything I need inside. When I’ve gone away for a few days this is the only palette I’ve taken with me and it’s perfect for creating day time and night time looks.

Velvet Teddy was my absolute favourite lipstick a couple of years ago and to this day it’s one of the only lipsticks I have actually used up. I received this in a PR package a couple of months ago now and I’ve rekindled my love for this shade. I think it’s a great pink toned nude and it’s one of those shades that suit everyone.
When I want to prime my eyelids this is the only product I use. I think this is more of a cult product in the beauty industry and it’s something I’ll use for a really long time. What I also like about soft ochre is a little goes a long way. I’ve used this for about 5 months now and it barely looks like I’ve used any product.

This concealer is a real favourite of mine and I feel like its super underrated by beauty bloggers when it comes to concealers. I love my high-end concealers but this one steals the show for me. I find that the consistency is great and this blends like an absolute dream with my beauty blender.

This brush I wasn’t expecting to love as much as I do. I wasn’t really interesting in the Real Techniques ‘Multi Tech’ collection when it first launched but I am so glad that I picked up this brush. I was looking for a good bronzer brush as I have a large face so (more area to cover!) This brush has fit the bill perfectly and I use this everyday without fail with my Clarins bronzer. This brush is also great for powdering my face too. Who doesn’t love a multi-use product?!

One brand I haven’t tried many products from is Lancome, It has always been a little bit (too) high end for me however, I feel like the odd purchase is all right right? This mascara makes your lashes look super voluminous and makes my eyes look bigger. If you’re looking for a mascara that adds instant volume, thickness and length then you need to try this out. This mascara’s bristles are made of soft fibers, which cling onto your lashes so easily. What I like about this mascara is that it lasts all day without smudging or looking clumpy.

I’m having a real love for all things Clarins at the moment.  I use their moisturiser, beauty balm, lipstick, foundation and blusher and I just feel like I need to try EVERY PRODUCT from the brand. One thing that Clarins are known for are their show stopping limited edition collection each summer and I knew when I saw this compact that I needed it in my life. I don’t think I have ever found a bronzer shade more suited to my skin either and the massive bonus is that it comes with a blusher shade too!
Smashbox Spotlight Highlighting Palette in Pearl - £26
Smashbox is a brand I’ve really loved over the past year. I’ve found that this is a trendy ‘high quality’ make up brand which you care (rarely) find something, which you won’t like. My favourite lipstick is from Smashbox, my eye shadow from Smashbox is an absolute dream and have you seen this highlighting palette?! It comes with three different shades, which ensures that this palette will suit any skintone. The shades help you achieve any look you want to create from a subtle glow to a super sparkly glow. What I love about this palette is that the highlighter is super blendable and you instantly look liked a glazed donut when you’re applying it!

What products have you been loving this month? Have you got any beauty recommendations for me to add to my wish list?

I tried the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate when I was given a sample last year when I was travelling and I really loved it. I will definitely buy full size but I have so many products at the moment, I need to finish some first! Happy Sunday xx

I've heard so many good things about the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette! I might just have to give in and pick it up soon. I have been obsessed with the Tarte Shape Tape concealer and Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow highlighter this summer!
