Beauty: Bloggers Made Me Buy It #1

Saturday, April 01, 2017

Have you ever bought a product because of a beauty blogger? I’m sure we are all guilty of this! (Including myself) and I’ve seen YouTube videos called ‘Youtubers Made Me Buy It’ so I think it’s time for a blogger version! I’ve got together some of my purchases which bloggers have influenced and I’m sure there will be a few more posts like this.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder - £29 from Feel Unique

Okay so if you’re like me and you suffer from the case of the oily under eye area and no matter the concealer, at the end of the day it’s just not in place anymore then you seriously need to invest in this powder. You need the smallest amount of this powder and it goes a long way. I absolutely adore using this and even though I’ve only had this a short amount of time in comparison to other products in this post, this is one of the best make-up products I’ve tried in a long time.

Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade in Dark Brown - £15 from Cult Beauty

So many beauty bloggers rave about this product from Anastasia Beverly Hills and there is a reason for it, as it’s incredible. If you’re a girl who loves a bold brow (or just a more defined brow) this is the product for you. You need the smallest amount of this dip brow on an eyebrow brush and I use it to define the bottom of my brow to make my face look more defined.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal - £32 from Cult Beauty

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you will have heard of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. I swatched champagne pop into a Space NK store recently and it really is insane. I noticed that the other shades of the shimmering skin perfector range didn’t get much credit but I heard a bit about Opal. I snapped this up at Christmas in a cult beauty box and not regretted it. I use a fan brush to apply this everyday when I want to achieve a natural but dewy glow.
Possibly the most hyped lipstick of 2017 so far, Pillow Talk by Charlotte Tilbury is a must have in your make-up bag. After reading 101 posts (if you need some convincing you can read my post about it here) I bit the bullet and picked this up. It’s a gorgeous pink toned nude and the reports are right online this lipstick does look great on every skin tone!

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream - £22 from Boots

This eye cream is an absolute must have for me and it really does work wonders on my skin. I remember reading a few posts about this cream when the Clinique Pep Start range was launched and I knew I had to try it. I carry this around in my handbag for whenever my eyes need that extra little bit of attention.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - £19 from Debenhams
Is there a beauty blogger in Britain that doesn’t own this mascara? Probably not. It’s been my favourite mascara for a long time now and I’m going to continue to repurchase this when this one runs out/dries out. It adds so much volume and length to my lashes without being clumpy. Sometimes it smudges but I tend to sort that out pretty quickly so I am desperate to try the waterproof version!
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Medium/Light Neutral - £19 from Feel Unique
I’ve lost count how many times I’ve raved about this concealer and believe it or not this is my 4th (or 5th) tube of this! It’s absolutely incredible. This concealer is hydrating without creasing, amazing to blend and works wonders on my under eye bags. If you’re looking for the perfect concealer this is the one you need to try and add to your makeup bag.

Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette - £38.50 from Feel Unique
This palette is stunning if you’re a matte eye shadow girl. I love the range of nude and brown shades with a few unexpected colours in there too. I really love using the burnt orange/red shade in my crease with the shade next to it all over my lids. If you’re a fan of Urban Decay palettes and don’t have this yet you need this in your life.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray - £19.80 from Feel Unique
I think this is my favourite setting spray I’ve ever tried and I am even on my 2nd (or 3rd) bottle of this, I can’t quite remember! I love using this spray when I know I’m going out all day and need my makeup to last and this has never disappointed me. If you’re fed up of the drugstore setting sprays then you need to try this.
