Beauty: Cohorted October Beauty Box Review

Monday, October 31, 2016

Cohorted is a deluxe beauty box brand I’ve always been so impressed with they’ve always been such good value for money and the product variety has been great but I have to say I’m a little disappointed with this months box. Let me tell you why…

Please bare in mind that it’s all my views and opinions so just because I haven’t got on with this months box it doesn’t mean you won’t!
Paul Yacomine Micro Treatment Oils - £12 each

I’ve never heard of Paul Yacomine before so I was intrigued to find out more about the brand and the products. I however didn’t get along with these once I’d tried them out. You can use these oils in several ways, to condition your hair, protect against heat styling or as a treatment after washing your hair. What’s good about these products is a little goes a long way; it just didn’t work well on my hair. After using this oil as a heat protector it left my hair feeling flat and looking greasy. I’d recommend this though if you have straight hair and you’re looking for a treatment like this, it just didn’t work for me.

Dr Botanicals Morrocan Neroli Body Cream - RRP £72

Despite starting this post off with a negative review of a product, the other two products in this month’s Cohorted box I’ve loved. I’ve heard a lot about Dr Botanicals online and so when I saw this in the beauty box I was really excited. The whole Dr Botanicals range is 100% in natural ingredients and all paraben free. I love using this cream after the shower and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, moisturised and smelling AMAZING. As much as I have loved using this cream, I couldn’t bring myself to buy this at the RRP of £72 though!

Too Faced Limited Edition #TFNOFILTER palette - £32

TooFaced is a brand I really want to try more of, as I absolutely adore the TooFaced Better Than Sex Mascara. These powders use light-fragmenting technology to brighten, bronze and illuminate the skin.  I think these powders are a great way to add a little extra something to your skin rather then just using a basic translucent powder. I find that these make a subtle difference but you can also layer them for a more bold effect. I was a little put off by the colours of the powders originally but once swatched they are nothing like they are in the photos.

What do you think of this month’s Cohorted box? Have you tried any of these products?
