Beauty: Make-up Favourites Of The Year So Far ft NYX, Origins, Estee Lauder

Tuesday, June 28, 2016

Can you believe that we’re more than half way through 2016? This year is definitely going far too quickly! 2016 has been a pretty good year for me so far including finishing university, landing a graduate job and visiting Germany and Greece. It’s also been a pretty good year for discovering beauty products and some of my favourites so far this year will be my favourites for years to come. So I thought I’d put together a post showing you all the products that have made my 2016 so far.

Do I need to rave about this foundation any more? Since having this foundation in my life I’ve not tried another foundation and I doubt I will. I absolutely love this foundation and it’s got the best coverage too. If you’re a girl who loves a medium/full coverage foundation this is the dream foundation for you.

Alongside the double wear foundation this concealer is the absolute DREAM. I really love this concealer and I have this in a shade lighter then my foundation, which makes it perfect for under my eyes and using it to highlight my face.

This facemask I feel doesn’t get enough recognition online and in beauty blogging land. This facemask is my favourite overnight treatment when my skin is feeling really dry. I use the Origins maskimizer beforehand and then use this on my face overnight and when I wake up in the morning my skin is so hydrated and moisturised.

This is a recent discovery of mine (you can read the full blog post here) and I am a little bit obsessed with this lipstick. Ever since having this lipstick in my life, I’ve used this everyday. This shade is a comfort matte finish shade and incredibly pigmented. I love how it’s a nude shade but has a hint of pink to it. This is a great lipstick to wear with a simple make-up look.

Barry M lip liners seem to be on pretty much every beauty blog right now and they are dubbed to be dupes for the MAC nude lip liners. I love using the shades 5 & 6 and these are great everyday nude shades. I like using these all over my lip for a lip colour or as a liner with a nude lipstick. These lip liners are an absolute bargain at only £2.99 each too.

I’ve lost count the amount of times I’ve raved about this cream eye shadow on my blog. It’s my all-time favourite eye shadow and it’s such a gorgeous shade of brown. It lasts all day and plus its so easy to apply.

I don’t think I’ve ever liked a mascara as much as I like this one from Urban Decay. This mascara is so great at making my lashes appear thicker, more volumised and looking longer.

 TheBalm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter

Mary Lou Manizer is a product from theBalm that really is worth the hype. I have used this everyday for about 9 months now and despite hitting pan on this a few months ago, it’s still not shattered. I love the pigmentation of this too and it looks great on any skin tone.

 Topshop Highlighter in Sunbeam

I absolutely love theBalm Mary Lou Manizer highlighter but sometimes I want to go for a subtler look. This is the highlighter I go for when I want to create a subtle glow. Its about £10 which is an absolute bargain too.

This HD finishing powder is very underrated in the beauty world. I absolutely love this and when I don’t want to use a setting spray, I reach for this powder. I remember when picking this up that I wanted the banana powder version (but it was sold out) so I picked up this powder in the shade translucent. I love using this and it really does set my make-up well and it doesn’t break the bank either as it’s about £8.
Have you tried out any of these products? What have been your make-up favourites of 2016 so far?
