Beauty: My April Favourites ft Bare Minerals, NYX, Urban Decay & Elegant Touch

Wednesday, May 11, 2016

I've noticed that a lot of bloggers are posting about their monthly 'favourites' just like youtubers and I noticed it wasn't something I do myself on my blog, despite having loads of favourites each month. This is now going to be a regular feature as who doesn't love writing about the products they've been loving ALL month?

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in Natural - Look Fantastic

This product has sadly come to an end now! I have been using this for about 3/4 months and it's a tinted moisturiser. I never thought I would find a product which is so hydrating and that it glides so well on the skin. I love using this with either my beauty blender (you can pick one up on eBay super cheap here)  which is how I got my beauty blender or I apply the complexion rescue with a buffing brush. I've moved onto the Estee Lauder double wear now and so I'll be reporting back on that next month.

Pink Beauty Blender - Ebay

I was a huge fan of the Real Techniques sponge and I used that for probably about a year before moving on to the beauty blender. I picked mine up through Ebay and I only paid about £5-6 which is saving £10 compared the price of them in Boots, online at BeautyBay/Cultbeauty etc. I use this damp to blend in my concealer and this works a total treat.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in Light Neutral - Feel Unique

This concealer is basically my perfect concealer and it makes me sad how I'm on the last few uses of this. If you're looking for a high coverage concealer with actual staying power, this is the one for you. I suffer from dark circles underneath my eyes and this covers them right up and it's a product I will always repurchase. I would definitely recommend heading to your nearest Urban Decay make-up counter and getting matched up though as this is £17.50 a time!

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden - Feel Unique

This eyeshadow primer is like heaven in a small sized bottle. I have tried out numerous eyeshadow primers and they have not come close to this. I use the shade Eden which works well on my eyelids. This could also work as an eyeshadow by itself too. If you're looking for the perfect eyeshadow primer which isn't too expensive it's worth splashing out on this. What I love about the primer potion is a little goes a LONG way when you're using this.

NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray - Boots

If you're looking for a setting spray on a budget (that leaves you looking glowy) this is your go-to. It's only about £7 too which makes it a total bargain. I find this so easy to use and I use this just before I put my mascara on. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and set my make-up really well. I will always love using the Urban Decay setting spray but this one is my back-up.

NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft Spoken - Boots

This product has been my 'go-to' lip product this month and it's such a nice colour. I really like using this over a nude lip liner or I blot this with a little bit of tissue paper. I think this is a bargain at about £6 a lipstick and who doesn't love a cream/liquid lipstick? The next on my NYX wish list is the shade soft spoken and you can check out all the other colours available here
Benefit Gimme Brow in Dark Brown - Look Fantastic

This is probably the best Benefit product I've ever used. If you have thick dark eyebrows and you just want a product to sort them out in about 10 seconds this is your dream product. I think I'll be using this not too often (as it's on the pricier side) but when I go away this summer this will 100% be in my travel make-up bag as it's the perfect size.

Nail Apothecary Gel Effect Top Coat by Elegant Touch - Boots

I'm a massive fan of this top coat as it actually works on my nails. I've tried so many top coats and these haven't work too well on my nails as they normally chip within a couple of days but this top coat helps them last about a week and it's only about £7 in Boots.

What have been your favourites this month? Have you tried out any of these products?

I keep hearing about the Urban Decay NAKED range, but still haven't tried it - I kick myself every time I see another glowing review!
I have to admit, I'm a bit of a NYX convert, lately - their lipsticks are incredible!

I swear by the UD primer, I have the original one and I've used it for years, nothing beats it. Also I have that top coat nail varnish as well, boots sent me it in a beauty box and it's absolutely amazing! x
