The Royal Wedding Street Party

Friday, April 29, 2011

Up and down the country today they are having street parties! Where I love there's enough people to have a street party at times like this, but I would love to know what it's like to have a massive one with 50+/hundreds of people!
A few of my neighbours helped organise this street party, and with all things British we were set to go!

Tins with the British Flag on.

With lots of homemade cakes and sandwiches too!

Let the street party commence! It's still going on now, but had to show you all what was happening! and also what I'm wearing!

I went for Option 1 from one of my previous posts on what to wear to a Royal Street Party, I'm wearing a feathered blouse from ASOS, Chinos from - Desire Clothing, and wedges from So You Shoes!

But back to the big day. I cried twice whilst watching it, times like this make me feel proud to be British! Who else cried? What did you think of the big day?
Who's had a street party? Who's partying hard tonight?

I wish I'd had a street party but I live in quite a large private area where people just wouldn't do these kind of things.
I painted my nails and wore Royal colours but thats about it!
You look lovely! <3

I cried too! And she looked stunning. Where I live we had a street party with 300 seats and were told to bring our own, so lots of people! Was amazing tho. Urs looks really cute and fun :)

Aw, didn't Kate look amazing!
I'm so jealous of your street party. It should have been made compulsory to have one! Our street is sooooo boring - nothing happened. Not a union jack in sight. It looks like you had a great day. xxxx

I want a street party like that! I can't believe the US even got a day off to celebrate the wedding while we Canadians were left out (I got up at 5am to watch and still had to go to school D:) and your outfit is actually stunning.

love how you guys have street parties for the royal wedding - that's the British spirit! :)
We were having dinner (a fancy one I have to say; we were kind of in the right spirit too haha) only to remember afterwards that the wedding was on. Saw the rebroadcast, it was soooo beautiful.

lovely blog darling, and love your outfit too!
